ok,
the mach 5 user guide explains that when you open the virtual sampler plug on any audio or audio instrument track (depending which software sequencer you use), the 16 midi channels of the virtual sampler will then appear as additionnal midi outputs of the sequencer's midi tracks.
It seems to work correctly on DP4, but it doesn't on Logic 6 in my case.
Maybe a particular routing has to be done in environment window, or something like that???

Someone who uses mach5 with logic 6 could probably help me a lot.
thanks! rolleyes.gif

I think you're on the right lines with your deductions about the environment, but unfortunately I can't help any further than that. Trouble is, you'll probably find most Logic users with samplers use the EXS24 and most Mach5 owners use DP4. OK, you didn't want to hear that, but you could try the sonikmatter Logic forums (over at www.sonikmatter.com). Ask around there - that's always been a happy hunting ground for me.

I don't use mach5 however to use any mult timbral virtual instrument in Logic make sure that "Midi Cha" in the instruments parameter box is set to "All".
Now to play the different MIDI channels of the Mach5 just transmit from the different send channels from your external keyboard. (you could also create a transformer object in your environment to change the incoming MIDI channel to the required one).
To have more than one track in the arrange for the one instance of the mach5 simply select the mach5 arrange page track and then create a new track (Functions>Track>Create)

Hope this all makes sense.
