Can anyone tell me of anygood plugin/synth's for making the above type music.

So far I have ES1,EXS24,EVP88,EVD6, V-station, Absynth, Evoc20, and of coarse the inbuilt plug ins. I am considering ES-2. I hear junglist will be ideal for what i want but that is not available for use with logic on os x.

My ES-2 demo has expired now, and i have not had much of a chance to play around with it. Could this be any good for making Breakbeat + D&B?

I thought that the ES2 is more ideal for Trance kind of stuff, as is most of the above plug-ins.

Cheers!

Phatmatik Pro (Great for cutting up beats)

All of the above are in Audio Unit format with demos available for all except FM7, Trilogy and Stylus (these 3 have audio demos).
any of the synths you mentioned and the ones above can be used for breakbeat and D&B, you've just have to use the "right" sounds.

You may want to look at some FX too, such as:

And take a look at Novation's V-Station and Bass Station plug-ins. Both are pretty cool.

BTW, why fixate on Audio Units only? Get the VST to AU wrapper from FXpansion.com and you can pick whatever OS X plug-in you want. It works fine - that way, you can have things like Albino running in Logic, with PSP's Vintage Warmer and Lexicon delays as FX. Groovy.

with jungle and breakbeat it helps to be experimental too. apps like Reaktor will give you a ton of flexibility and access to a huge user library that no other softsynth can match. or even getting some cheap guitar footpedals to hurt the sound can have good results.

the spectrasonics apps are very good sounding but aren't geared toward jungle more than they are toward anything else. you could definitely have fun with all three though- watch the Stylus demo at their site and listen to some of the Trilogy and Atmosphere demo mp3s.
