I own a Fostex VF-08 digital 8 track recorder and need to connect it to my iBook. I have bought the Edirol UA-1D which is SP/DIF to USB, but, although my iBook realizes that the USB device is connected and recognized, I can't seem to actually record to my computer. It won't show any levels, etc. It has worked once, not sure how. I have ProTools Demo version. And I have also downloaded many trial programs (Amadeus, SoundRecorder, etc) but to no luck.... Once I get the audio in, I can then work with it in ProTools, but I need to actually get it to my laptop. Any suggestions? I'm relatively new to Mac, so I'm assuming it is just a general misunderstanding of the OS.
Thanks in advance! |
