I'm thinking about getting the exs24, and I'm wondering how well / easy it works. I use Logic on a G3 blue&white 350 mhz - is that fast enough? And how about the sample library you get with the sampler - is it any good or do I need to start my sound collection from scratch anyway? Any opinions would be highly appreciated!

Unfortunately I have never tried it but I have read a very positive review of the EXSP24 and the EXS24 on the audiomac.net Web site. You might want to take a look at it.

Thanks Torrent for telling me about the audiomac website, that was a very interesting review indeed.

Hi,
I'm using the exs24 for quite some time now - i like the integration into logic, and the timing is really good (compared to some midi samplers - especially via usb).
Your g3 should be fast enough, but you really need a lot of ram, as exs uses your ram to play the samples.
The quality of the library that comes with it is questionable. I use a lot of converted akai and samplecell sounds.
Go for it and have fun.

Kind regards
Walter

Hi I used to have a G3 266 and there were problems running the exs24.
The timing sometimes sucked and there were clicks and pops.
The exs24 is a must for logic users but I think you`ll need a hardware upgrade if you want 100% out of it.
Had it for one year now and I use it all the time.

This past thursday, before the TRL concert I rode with one of the producers that does the music for destiny's child to the instore, and we talked about some music stuff. He uses logic w/exs24 and says its better than his s5000.

I agree the EXS is very good but having the samples reliant upon RAM size is obviously very limiting, esp when, like myself you would like to use something like the Gigapiano or large string samples.
Does anyone know of a sampler that streams (like a Gigasampler) for Mac?
(OS 9.2,733,Logic Platinum 4.7.3)
Thanks in advance.

Hi there, I just discovered the website!
I would like to know if any one of you guys can tell me how to bounce the sound that is comming from Logic's MIDI tracks, I can't convert them into wav. I am trying to burn a CD with my drum sequences and anything comming from the drum channel goes silent. By the way I am using Logic platinum.
