Hello,

I am now the proud owner of Reason 2.5, Midiman Oxygen 8 midi controller and a MOTU 896, which came with Audiodesk 2......

Now, what I am wondering is what are my options for getting the Reason sounds into Audiodesk for mixing with my instrument recording(guitar, drums, etc.)???

I am using a powerbook G4 800....anyone who can help please do.... biggrin.gif

thanks a lot, instrument

I'm not at all familiar with Audiodesk - is it equipped with Rewire? If not, you could always bounce/mix to disk whatever you do in Reason as an audio track and then import the aiff file into Audiodesk. This probably won't be super convenient if your drums are going to be tracked live separately...

thanks Xingu.... smile.gif

Audiodesk 2 does not support ReWire....but i was able to add some piano and drums from Reason to a song in this way....

I started Reason and with a 1/4 in. guitar cable with an 1/8 in stereo adaptor on one end connected this to the audio output on my powerbook......the other end went into an input on my 896; signal then travels through firewire back to powerbook and into Audiodesk...

The problem with this, i think, is that the guitar cable is mono....so half the signal is lost!?....I wonder if there is such a thing as a 1/4 in. Stereo guitar cable??....or any other workaround?? wink.gif

Now with the piano and drums it didn't seem to matter much...i thought it sounded good and was just happy to get ANY access to the infinite plethora of sounds in Reason....woohooo biggrin.gif .....but any further advice would be appreciated....thanks
