When I am recording guitar tracks through my Audiophile USB I am hearing pops. The pops are there upon playback. Is it likely my soundcard (Audiophile USB)? I also have, a couple times, suddenly picked up a lot of noise detected in the record enabled track. Unable to find the sudden source of noise it is corrected by turning off (then on) my Audiphile USB. Please help. -Thanks

could be several things... could be digital clipping (make sure levels don't go up into the red when recording), could be the USB connection (sometimes just a little movement of the cable with cause pops... best to put it so nothing is moved while recoridng), it could be the 1/4" cables going to guitar (make sure they are snug fit and if moving around during your recording at least loop cable around strap once to take tension off the cable where it plugs in to guitar), or could just be the cables themselves. Make sure cables are in good wokring condition and sometimes cheap cables can the culprit as well. Hope that helps but if not... try defragging hard drive and maybe reinstalling the software.
