I finally got my ProTools 6 update and I was hoping this would bring an end to my Powerbook 667 being without a line-in as I was hoping that the Mbox would show up in the sound panel in the system preferences. Or that it would be visible in the Audio Midi Setup.
Am I missing something here or have Digidesign just made totally sure that the Mbox can only be used with their own software? Ulrik |

Thank you for the answer. It's just easier to wait for something if you know it's coming.

Digidesign has released (1/2 weeks ago) a simple CoreAudio driver for the AMII, DIGI001 & MBox (all LE systems except Digi002), but only one app at the time can use the interface! Meaning you'll have to quit/launch back&forth between you applications to hear anything... Reason 2 doesn't support the Digi coreaudio driver, for example.
It's recommended to install this driver when using the updated PT 6.0.1. That's a start, but things could be improved in many ways; at least like it is with Tascam, or MOTU CoreAudio drivers... Bye. PS: sorry for the lack of vocabulary, english is not my native language. |
