I'm a newbie to Logic (platinum 5.5), and I'm doing audio editing for a feature film (80 minutes). I'm having two specific problems and I'm wondering if anyone could give me a tip or two:

1) I'm mixing to a Quicktime movie in a floating window--the movie is the correct length (80 minutes), but the arrangement isn't the same length! I scroll the movie out to the end, and the arrange window just snaps back to around 10 minutes before the end of the film.

2) there is some CRAZY sync drift. My timebases and sample rates seem to be set right--am I missing something?

Any help would eb greatly appreciated.

currently I'm not at my Mac,but check your preferences, there is a seeting for maximum recording leangth.

I think it defaults to 5 minutes, that could be your problem.

Check the Quictime frame rate.

by timebases, do you mean you have your framerates set the same?
Check in your tempo list to see your framerate? (left side of tempo list, beneath "Create")

It won't have anything to do with "maximum recording length". This is to set the maximum file size for recording audio tracks.
