got logic platinum 4.8.1 for my imac recently, also got a midiman oxygen 8. i think i've installed the midiman drivers incorrectly and only midi sounds can be heard when using logic. just bought the computer and don't have much on it so should i just set it up again or will that waste any memory. did't get a manual with my copy of logic so its quiet confusing. don't know how to sample anything, any help will be appreciated. thank you.

Don't think you should re-install. The problem is probably just something you aren't yet doing right.

If you bought Logic second-hand you should ask the bloke to send you the paper manual. I don't use Logic, but I think there should be a reference manual on the install CD. Otherwise do a search on the net.

By the way midi doesn't have any sounds - it's only performance instructions. If you can hear something its because you have some virtual instruments somewhere.
