Hi,
Does anyone know if Trillian is responsive to these Midi Continous Controllers ? Midi CC's 1, 7, and 11 . Control Change # 1 Modulation Control Change # 7 Volume Control Change # 11 Expression and Pitch Bend ? My midi Bass Lines are all professionally programmed and utulise these Midi Continuous Controllers to achieve the desired Musical outcome. In relation to Pitch bend and the midi programming , the desired RATE ( speed ) of Pitch bend after note events is achieved by entering this midi string in this order in the header of the midi file . Control Change #101 Value = 0 Control Change #100 Value = 0 Control Change #6 Value = n n = Pitch Bend Range (default 2 semitones) (the 2 is the range of a tone, put 12 if you want an octave etc) Then the AMOUNT of pitchbend in relation to semitones is entered in after note events . I have been told along the line Trillian has Midi learn ...does that mean Trillian will work with professionally programmed midi files ? I have tried other Bass VST's , and It is now apparent VST instruments do not recognise this midi string in the header of midi files , and musically speaking , these Midi Files rely heavily on accurate responsiveness to pitch bend data . I believe with VST , the RATE of Pitch Bend can be compensated for and achieved by simply adjusting the Pitch bend manually in the plugin to the desired RATE , and the AMOUNT of Pitch Bend entered after note events is achieved accordingly. So , If the desired rate is 12 , and the plugin responds to beyond the default rate of 2 , Trillian should work providing you can manually set pitch bend to 12 . Does anyone use Trillian with Midi Files ? Does it work with these Midi CC's and Pitch Bend Data ? Thanks for your support. |
