Do you mean your mix?

That would be an option when you "Bounce".

yep... either you can "bounce to disk" a whole mix or solo a track or two or you can export individual regions out by themselves using the regions window to the right. The "bounce to disk" option should be under the file menu I think. Don't forget to set the start and end points in the transport first too wink.gif

If you wanna burn the Mix on CD, you'll also have to choose 44.1KHz/16bits/Stereo Interleaved (in the Bounce dialogue box).

Select the Audio with the Cursor (add half a bar at the end - and start of possible )
If you recorded in 24 Bit - Insert the Stereo 'Dither' Plug-In on the Master Fader
Bounce to Disk;
MP3 Direct Bounce (from Protools file ) - Set "Quality" required, bounce to 128 , 160, 192 (or whatever you want - It is best to use 128 for internet - the files get 50% bigger and clearer as you step up)
ALTERNATIVELY;
Bounce (quicker than MP3)) to AIF THEN open itunes,Choose from menu EDIT/PREFERENCES and set Importing etc (MP3 Encoder) to what you want and click ok
Choose ADVANCED/Convert to MP3 and choose the 'Object' or file you wish to Convert and GO
One Problem - The file goes straight into the Library so you need to give it a recognisable file name to easily recover it to place in your own playlist

I am informed the MP3 encoder in Protools is better than MP3 conversion in itunes but you can be the judge

Hope this helps
Tony

One thing to considere is that the MP3 option doesn't come for free !!
Digidesign "kindly" offers it for an extra 20 bucks !...
I bought it because I hate iTunes and don't wanna have anything to do with it...but that's quite personnal... iTunes will probably do the job...for free!

considering it's digidee we're talking about it's surprising that it wasn't $2000 for the exclusive "ultimate, hardware based mp3 encoding solution". tongue.gif
