Hi
I have a 5 minutes musical piece recorded on radio several years ago (probably religious music soprano an choir in the balkan or bulgarian type of music) and I am trying to find what it is: is there a forum somewhere where I can ask this question and including a mp3 file for some experts to help me out?

Thanks

Oooo. The very Best Of Luck to you - you will need it. Choral recordings easily number well into the tens of thousands (and probably more). Although most are only listened to locally, there are still many thousands that have 'gone global' in distribution. For starters though, I would recommend that you upload your mp3 to a free service like www.mediafire.com or similar; then all you will need to do is simply provide the link to it (spares you from multiple uploads). Have you tried asking the radio station that played it? If it's not the usual kind of music they play, maybe they can help. Do you know what language the singers are singing? If it's NOT Latin, Italian, German, and to lessor degrees, English or French, then that's useful info to know (narrows the possibilities considerably). I do not know of any forums, etc. where the 'experts' hang out, but I think your best chance is to contact a few music departments at your local universities. And while I am no expert, I do have a fair amount of choral & ethnic music from around the world and would be happy to listen... (grin) Maybe I can tell you where it comes from.
