I'm running ProTools LE 5.1 on a G4. Any good advice on how to crank the most power from the CPU besides selecting the highest percentage option in the hardware menu?

Well…
vast question… Do you use aux, plugs, racoons? Increase the cache (for higher latency) helps A LOT too -------------------- Our Classifeds • Nos petites annonces • Terms Of Service / Conditions d'Utilisation • Forum Rules / Règles des Forums • MacMusic.Org & SETI@Home

yes lpm!
this is a haystack that you're asking us to find the proverbial needle in! buffer size is the first port of call, smaller is better IF your cpu can handle it! otherwise, as lpm says, higher buffer settings are what you need. ![]() g4 technology has been around a few years now, which g4 do you use? are you multi-processing? please provide a more detailed modus operandi, gear spec etc. are you using the aux facility for your fx? 1 thing's for sure. stay away from the racoons! ![]() sorry 4 the slow response, stay with it & we'll sort this out 4 you... -------------------- one for all and all for one...
