I recently downloaded the demo for a DJ software called Future Decks and might go ahead and buy it, but I couldnt figure out how it works and want to make sure its useful.

Trying to replicate the actual mixing experience, I couldnt find a way to listen to the next track on the headphone to cue it up.

I hace a Mac, with a M Audio FW Solo interface and M Audio speakers.

The probem is that I could hear either both tracks on the speakers or both tracks on the headphone, but couldnt cue up on the headphone the next track. I played around with the settings and there was an option to put the headphone on the left channel and speakers on the right channel, but my speakers dont have individual volume knobs so this didnt work.

What the proper way to use these software as to actually replicate the DJ experience of listneing to and cueing up the next track?

cheers

eb

Hi eb,
I've also bought this software and as there doesn't seem to be any sort of instruction manual, I am also curious about the headphone cuing setup. If you visit the forum on the FutureDecks website, you'll find some info...
Here's one discussion:

Please let me know if this helps and if you've found any information specific to your question and/or any general stuff on the software elsewhere on the web...
