I'm trying to create a Movie Track in Digital Performer 4.6 and having some difficulty figuring it out. I've looked in the manual (War and Peace) and they only say what can be done with it, but not how to create said movie track.

I can open a movie window within DP and edit my audio using the video as a reference and then lock them both together, but when I bounce to Quicktime movie the video is absent and I am left only with audio (black screen). I should note that I am telling my bounce handler to create a new video file, and not reference the old video.

My only assumption is that the video will not bounce when it is simply in the movie window, but that I have to create an actual "movie track", though I have yet to discover how to do so.

My System:

PowerBook G4 1.33GHz
1GB RAM
Digital Performer 4.6
MOTU Traveler
LaCie 200 GB Firewire HD

Many thanks in advance!

If they can't sort you out over there, no one can.

Good luck,

Just import the movie and DP sets it up automatically. Make sure you import something DP will notice like a .mov or .dv etc.
