I cannot seem to get Logic Express to recognise my firewire interface. I have gone into Audio Midi Setup and set it as default input and also done aggregate device but I cannot seem to see if Logic sees the device. I have used it in Garageband and in Guitar Rig as an application and it is OK. Although I don't know how I can record in stereo, I have set it in the audio hardware interface and in Garageband as 1+2 stereo but to no result. - hel

In the Logic preferences choose core audio.
Do you have a stereo device plugged in? -------------------- G-Dub

My guitar is plugged in to the Presonus Inspire.
I have tried everything in Logic to get it to accept signal from the Inspire. I have enabled Core Audio, the Inspire is selected as Core Audio device in Audio Hardware, I have gone into Audio Midi setup in OSX and set that asdefault input device. What else havnet I done/? |

If your guitar is plugged in, do you have a setting for line input on the Inspire?
Do you have the I/O selected in the channel strip? This post has been edited by gdoubleyou: Wed 4 Jan 2006, 22:49 -------------------- G-Dub

Yes I have opened the Inspire interface and set it to stereo. In the channel strip the only device that is present is Core Audio.

Open Audi/midi setup and from the audio menu, click on audio aggregate device editor.
