Does anyone know of a decent Mellotron patch for Logic Express? Failing that, does anyone know of one (chorus and/or strings) for a Roland D70? I'm having a problem getting Classic Environment to run in Tiger (I'm always paranoid about putting in the install CD--maybe it's a hangover from Windows) to access my patch library. (I'll figure it out soon, but I've got too many irons in the fire.)

i don't know if this will help, but there is a mellotron for Reason that sounds quite good.

I am using EMU vintage keys. This hardware module should not be too expensive and it features nice mellotron patches and many other bread and butter vintage key sounds.
Much less hassle to use than having to piece single samples together like from the Hovercraft site. Maybe he or someone else should make a real sample library for kontakt2 or exs24. I am sure it would be appreciated by many users.
G-Media's M-Tron Plugin is not available for the new intel macs and as I read somewhere (but I can not confirm this for sure) there may not be plans to update it for intel macs.

QUOTE (KingBarbarossa @ Sun 17 Sep 2006, 17:27) G-Media's M-Tron Plugin is not available for the new intel macs and as I read somewhere (but I can not confirm this for sure) there may not be plans to update it for intel macs. GForce works on the ports of his instruments to the new Apple MacTel standard, Universal Binary. Chris Macleod says in GForce's page on Aug 9, 2006.
