I was just about to add a live bass track to one of my songs and Im now getting a playback error, or it just gets stuck before im a few seconds into the song. Obviously my powerbook cant handle it anymore. I only have 667 mhrz. Is there anything I can do or do I need a new machine. It is pretty old?

Do you have an external 7200rpm hard drive? Internal Powerbook drives are slow and will bog down when the track load gets high.

Also If you have less than 768MB RAM, you will force the OS to use your hard drive for virtual memory, not a good thing when you are trying to record to the same hard drive.
