- a new articulation tool (logic macro) with the following functions:
1) selection of articulations via keyboard or midi-buttons in a way that the information which articulation is played is encoded in the midi channel of the actual notes. this simplifies the articulation handling and the work with score considerably (thanks to plowman - see the corresponding thread).
2) an alternation mode that works with the above method and is much more intuitive and useable than the vsl-tool. it has only one monophonic sequence which, however, can be "programmed" simply by playing !
3) last but not least, a new function to shape the attack and release phase of the sounds by continuous controllers which allows automatic dynamic transitions without additional samples.

- my complete opus 1 template that runs on a 1.25 gb powerbook and includes all essential instruments and articulations - besides legato instruments. these instruments support all the functions offered by the articulation tool.

- documentation for the whole package

i'm not totally sure, but i think the instruments of the template probably won't work with the pro or first edition (only for the underprivileged ones who can't afford them ). however, the tool, should be useful for all vsl/exs users and the instruments of other editions can be adapted (see the docu).

i've documented and uploaded this, since i think the vsl is really great - but as the name says it is a "library". however, what i actually want is an "orchestra" that i can simply load and play. it took me quite some time to get a bit closer to this goal and therefore i want to share the result with other users. i think it makes no sense that everybody who equally cannot cope with vsl's database-style and needs a basic set to start playing has to do all this work again ...

have fun!
