Hi all, new to the forum.
I am considering doing a hardware upgrade from Digi001 to 002R. My 001 is humming like a top ( well after a horrendous QuickTime 7.0 and iTunes 4.8 upgrade that wiped me out ) but obviously I am stuck at LE6.4 and OS10.3.x forever, with zero 001 support. I am curious about issues like the Power Harness problem and I also read a post about latency issues with 002. I called Digi today and spoke to Customer Service- Pre Sales. The guy told me that the harness issue has been "addressed" but cannot guarantee me that I won't have a problem with a new unit. All he would say was that the number of customers having problems with the power harness had decreased significantly. I would like to get feedback from anyone on this forum about 002R and how it has worked for them so far, especially units that are fairly new. Your time taken replying to this will be much appreciated. G4 MDD, 1.25GHz DP, 1.25GB RAM, OS 10.3.5 for now. Thanks, Lister. |

Hi Lister,
I own my Digi 002r for 8 months now, and I have no important issue with it. I read on the DUC that people say Pro Tools 6.9 fixes a latency bug with the internal converters on the 002 rack..but its prehaps just a dream (I work with Pro Tools 6.4 here...). (I work on G5 1.25 Ram, 10.3.9, PT 6.4) hope that helps. -------------------- Clouvel - noise since 1971
