Hello!
I one day accidentally found a keyboard in Logic Express by pressing buttons.. With that keyboard I could play instruments with my laptop keyboard. Then next time I started the program it was gone! Now I have searched through all the menus and options to find it again, but without results.. Can somebody tell me how to find it again? Thank you very much in advance |

Windows>Keyboard, gives you a window view of an actual keyboard. Did you mean using your computer keyboard to play/input notes?

QUOTE (Adrian Delso @ May 4 2005, 10:23) Windows>Keyboard, gives you a window view of an actual keyboard. Did you mean using your computer keyboard to play/input notes? I ment that I wanted to play notes with my keyboard and not be forced to click every single note with the mouse. BUT, now I am facing a new problem.. How can I record the notes I play with the keyboard to the instrument track while letting the music play in the background? I succeeded to record notes without the music at every 1/8 note, but I would like to "jam" with the music and get the notes recorded. HOW can I do this? Very thankful for help! |

Buy a MIDI keyboard. They're not expensive. A quick 'search' on the Web should produce lots of possibilities!

Thank you for replies!
I am buying a MIDI-keyboard later but for now I am happy with the laptop keyboard.. But I was wondering how I can record what I play to the arrange? How can I play keyboard while the music is playing and then get the keys recorded? Haven't found out yet.. |

Arm the track by pressing the rec. button if it has one, and engage record on the transport.

Hay no DJ for me. I just want to lay down some drum patterns and synth tracks and add vocals sometimes.
