I am sorry and not trying to be rude, but seems that you need to dive into the manual a little more. the questions you are asking are totally covered.

http://www.apple.com/support/logic/

http://www.emagic.de/support/firstaid/inde...dex.php?lang=EN

There are a couple of links that will have many answers to your questions. You will not have to wait for a reply on the board.
I really don't mind helping anyone who needs help. it just seems that you can do a little diging yourself. you will be happier with the solution when you find it on your own.

happy recording,

Thank you for the links. I have searched throughout the manual, on-screen documentation, and asked around other users, and haven't gotten an answer. I'm currently reading the manual, and I will most likely find it, eventually. But I couldn't on my initial searches.

I'll admit that I know nothing of Logic, but I do have an experiment for you to try out while you're waiting for an answer..
In Logic, with your midi tracks, and instruments loaded (in the manner you have explained previously). Add an audio track, select audio in for that track to "internal". Arm the track to record and press play. If you are getting a siglal in the meters, then press stop, the rewind and record, when the song stops, you will have an audio recording of the midi files (theorecitally..). If you do end up with an audio track with the actual sound you want, bounce that to mp3.

editbrain sounds a like a really nice person that has just finally gotten to the core of it......

We must all be willing to spend time with our manuals, tedious as that may be. We must do the google! We must take the time! We must reach that goal!

Vissequ, like editbrain, I don't want to seem rude, but as he said, everything you're inquiring about is right there at your finger tips. All you need do is read and try.....Read and try...and then ...Read and try some more. Do exactly as it says on those pages in the manual and be patient. Take a break now and then. Logic has a big learning curve, but if you do the work, you'll soon be on your way.

Keep this in mind, ...Most of those answers you might read here are in the manual, so why waste precious time here? Why not just read it there?

Sincerely,
Good luck to ya!

all you do to bounce your vitural instruments to audio file is:

solo the audio instrument track.
open a track mixer
on the master output push the boucne button at the bottom
answer the questions where to save and other option.

offilne you will not hear the track - much faster
realtime it plays the track while bouncing.

to bounce external midi gear.

connect the output of your midi module to some type of input device.
on an audio track arm it for recording. choose the correct inputs. solo the midi track that triggers the module and choose record.

that is it. that is how you get your midi being internal or external to be audio files.

it is also on page 285 of the manual with full photos, and step by step instruction.

I have a problem playing MIDI files on my Virtual PC. I have windows XP installed as the virtual PC on my MAc G5. Midis work perfectly fine on the mac osX but when i try playing it on the virtual PC. It plays at about 1/4th the speed of the real song, and that too sounds all broken up.

How do i set right this problem. I'd be real grateful if someone could help me sort out this problem.

P.S: Increasing the memory available to virtual Pc did NOT work.

you can't solve the virtual PC problem. you have to remember that you are using more than half your mac resources to run windows on top of it. there is also a ton of latency between the host system and the virtual system. you should just give up and run a windows pc instead of virtual PC.

ok so im really dumb. ive been trying to figure this out even after editbrain gave me a step by step on how to change midi to audio. im still clueless. so i have a song completely recorded, some of its audio and then i added midi parts using my midi controller. how can i make it so those midi tracks bounce with the rest of the audio song and end up in the final .wav product or watever. im sorry im so lame but i really dont know what im doing and the manuel is confusing to me. i just need the midi to be audio. thanks guys
