Note, we suppressed one possible scam today, the too good to be true kind with a seller lying on its location (not a little lie).

Be careful, use your brain, if you have doubts ask the team, don't accept Western Union etc.

a little manual on how to avoid these scams will be online as soon as translation/formating/insertion by our webmaster will be done. Meanwhile: open your eyes and put your brain ON! unsure.gif wink.gif

We have to insist again… every month we get testimonies from people who have been ripped off as they were selling things on the Classifieds section of the site.

Be careful and wise ! Never accept checks with an higher amount than the value of your sale. The amount of this fabulous check will only be credited on your account for a few weeks…and then, inevitably, it will be debited from your account (with complementary bank expenses…) as a bad rubber check. In the meanwhile you lose your merchandises and the amount of the check you had just sent to your dishonest buyer… sad.gif angry.gif

PLEASE

Don't even answers people who ask to send you a check and want a Western Union Payment. One of our fellow member has been swindled and is in heavy debt now.

Keep away from these morons!!!

If you have been scammed, report to your authorities, local police at least. I know that in the USA the FBI has a team working on this, In Australia, the police too.

Feel free to post the addresses of the relevant offices here, it'll help members!

We try very hard to keep these ç$£@%&# at bay here, signal them to me if they contact you (copy of full email, with address, eventually headers if you know how to see them).

Actually there was something in a music magazine online ad's section recently about a guy who was also prosecuted by the police after he contacted the bank to say what had happened. He'd unwittingly taken part in a fraud he lost the lot got fined and gained a criminal record. You have to remember in this new PC Britain its the victims who are in the wrong.
