This may be an idiotic question, but I am new to the world of Mac audio production. I recently purchased a used version of Pro Tools 4.3. Now I want to purchase a mac . The question is, will P.T. 4.3 run on a G4? Any direction here would be greatly appreciated. Also any suggestions on system configurations would be of deserving of my eternal gratitude.

It depends on your PT hardware. I guess you would need PT 5 or more, but check here:

Just to amplify the last reply:
ProTools will not run unless the machine has a Protools hardware interface installed. The hardware interface in turn limits which Macs and OSs you can use. So what do you have in the way of ProTools hardware? If you have bought just the PT software disk, you're h00ped. Thanks Trevor www.canadaram.com |
