I suppose the 100X128 is sensors by inches but it'd be better if we could be sure.

No MIDI: That's fine by me. The OSC (Open Sound Control) standard is MUCH more powerful than MIDI. With a high end device like this, I don't think I would be very satisfied if I had only 128 steps of resolution.
I am sure someone will write a little MAX/MSP patch that will convert from OSC to MIDI specifically for the Lemur.
Also consider that the price point of this thing may be FAR above what some folks may be expecting. I mean, this isn't going to be priced like an M-Audio device. While I have NO inside information whatsoever, my WILD GUESS is that the Lemur will cost between $2,500 and $4,000 USD.
