Hey,
I have a Roland Electonic Drum Kit and an Ibook 750MHZ, i would like to do some recording using the kit, couple of guitars, bass and vox. Any ideas on a decent sound card set up? I know its a bit vague but i would aslo like to rig it up to the hi fi, or speakers too. I was recomended a digidesign m-box with pro tools, but i will be using cubase or reason and I have no need for Pro Tools, so that is out of the question really! Cheers! |

well. if you want to record audio you will not be using reason.
so i guess the answer is cubase, do you want to track all of the instruments at the same time, or individually? |

okay.
well there are a a lot out there. i guess i can recomend the tascam us-122 from personal experience. doesn't have digital outs or ins, but has decent pre's that work. the device works. half the price of mbox, but also half the device. plus doesn't come with software. other than that. hrm.... all the other protable devices come with software mainly, but i would stick with cubase, logic, dp, or protools. |
