So yeah, I have recently just joined your ranks as being a proud owner of the Kontrol 49.

I'd say I"m a pretty tech savvy guy here, but man is this thing complicated to understand.

I've read the manual twice, and it helped a little bit but i'm still confused.

basicall I have Live 5, Reason 3 and Logic 7.1.1

I would like for my kontrol 49 to work with them seamlessly.

in reason, I can set it up so that depending on what synth in the rack is selected. the leds and controls automatically change to what is selected.

so if its the mixer, I have mixer controls, and if its the subtractor I get subtracktor controls, like filt cut and ASDR and all that fun stuff.

the kontrol 49 updates automatically when I do this, I don't have to switch scene's or anything like that at all.

now Logic is my main axe and I'm really confused. I installed the kontrol49 as a kontrol surface and logic recognized it fine.

but its functionality is slightly limited, right now, I just get mixer controls, (level's and panning) for the knob/encoder. they'll change depending on the track I have selected but thats it.

I would like to have it set up so that, by default it does mixer controls, but when I open a plug in on screen, it changes to that plug in so I can tweak its parameters.

I'm also having a bit of a problem with live too, it just seems that I have to set up live manually myself which is fine, I'll save that for later.

right now my main problem is getting the Kontrol 49 to act the way it in for reason, in Logic.

thanks in advance.
