Up until now I have only ever used software samples and virtual instruments with my Logic 7 set up. Now I am trying to use an Access Virus C and I think my answer lies in the environment but I am having trouble understanding the manual on this subject. So far, I have the controller keyboard attached to the MT4 midi interface and the midi output of the MT4 to the midi In of the Virus. The first pair of audio outputs of the virus are going into my Mbox line inputs. I am using GM track 1 on midi channel 1 and can hear the Virus and can even record midi data which then plays back fine. I can't understand where the audio is coming back to Logic because I don't see it on any channel strip. To record Midi the record tab is on the midi channel so I presumably couldn't then arm audio tracks to record the input. I will want to record a number of sounds from the Virus. I don't really get the single instrument / multi instrument concept and how one Virus unit with one stereo audio output connected to Logic could play back more than one sound. Since I am limited to one stereo input with my Mbox (even though I see the Virus has three outputs) I guess people do each track and record it as audio and then move onto the next sound. I am hoping someone that reads this knows what I am trying to do and can explain it in very simple terms.

I am getting a core audio error in Logic when I have more than about 7 instances of the EXS 24 sampler instrument. I am not sure what the limitations are down to - My computer is probably inadequate, being a flat screen iMac G4with 512Mb RAM. I read a discussion about Core Audio being a problem in Panther in relation to Pro Tools - I run Pro Tools too nd similarly get quite a lot of core audio problems. Any suggestions?

I have had Groove Agent and Virtual Guitarist working fine under Logic 6. Now I have had to upgrade to Logic 7 I can't get them working again. I downloaded the latest Fxpanision VST to AU wrapper which seems to have a new folder under apps called 'put your VST instruments here' which I hasve duly done. I have used the various content locator patches but the AU manager in Logic fails all except Virtual Guitarist electric FX. It comes up with a huge ream of info which I could paste but basically it says failure. Any help gratefully received. It wouldn't be so frustrating if I hadn't had them working so well before!
