Hi Can anyone help?

After loading the updated Logic 7 to 7.1, updated motu 828 mkII driver software to run with the installed Tiger on my G5, we are having problems with a screaming noise from the 828?

We can play audio from Logic and hear it fine through internal speakers but as soon as the 828 is selected and audio is played, the speakers scream a feedback sound, although not actual feedback.

We have spent 1hr 10 mins on the phone to Motu and downloaded apples Pro Application Support 3.0 (Mac OS X 10.4) that apple themselves recomended and still screaming speakers. Is there anyone with any similar issues with this.

P.S This also happends with imovie but works fine with all other applications???

Hi! Try resetting the 828. I had a similar problem before with some apps including logic. A reset of the 828 did the trick.

Hi Micael

Thanks for your response but we have tried that too.

Do you use the same set-up just so we know that it is possible with the same equipment?

Thanks

Ross

I have exactly that set-up and have no problems. It's no help to you, but just wanted to let you know that 7.1 and 828MkII can work fine on a G5 running Tiger.

Good luck

Just need to source the problem.
