I know this is a stupid question, but I'll throw it out there because I can't seem to resolve my problem. I've finished a couple of songs in ProTools 6.2 on a G4 PB Ti and want to burn them to CD. I've done the "bounce to disk" thing in both WAV and AIF formats. However, I want to burn these songs to CD so I can play them on a regular CD player.
I thought I could use ITunes and import the songs and then burn them to CD. But ITunes won't recognize the files. What am I doing wrong? I tried putting the files directly to CD and playing them, but that doesn't work either.
Can anyone throw me a bone here?
Thanks.
There's no reason why you shouldn't be able to use iTunes to burn CDs. Just bounce the AIFs at 16/44.1, add them to the iTunes library (don't use the Import command -- that's for ripping tracks from a CD), make a playlist and click the Burn Disc button.
Add to Library is the command you want, NOT Import...
The Import... command is also for importing playlists in XML, TXT, or M3U formats.
It might also be worth noting to make sure your
Burning Preferences are setup properly
meaning that your
Disc Format: is set to Audio CD
Thanks guys for the help. I was doing the Import thing, but decided to try the good old Mac drag and drop into ITunes, and that worked.
