I've recently begun to swich from an all-in-one digital multitracker to a mac based system. I have a Presonus Firepod which is great. My plan WAS to get my feet wet with GarageBand and then move on to Logic Express.
I pretty much record real instruments and voice with one exception: I like to use a drum track (too hard to record live drums for me, for now). I actually like GarageBand--it is very intuitive. But... my disappointment with GB is that you cannot change tempos on a rhythm tack mid song, and some of my songs do that. That makes it almost useless for me! So... maybe Logic Express, BUT it is beginning to look like LE is hardly a user friendly system!
So... any suggestions on Mac recording software that is friendly for an acoustic guy but can accomodate a rhythm track with multiple tempos?
Thanks,
Wally
