On my 700MHz iBook, I have itunes set to burn cds at 2x speed with no gap between tracks. But it insists on burning at 4x speed with 2sec between tracks, ruining the seamless gaps I have between some of my tracks. It's like it doesn't even look at my preferences.

The burner is the standard, Toshiba DVD-ROM SD-R2102.

What am I missing? Or should I just get toast? biggrin.gif

Thanks, Jame

I have terrible trouble with inter-application MIDI timing on my 700 MHz iBook ... it's not just latency, and it's that the timing is inaccurate. If I have Digital Performer send straight 16th notes into reason, I get a staggering effect, kind of like the proverbial town drunk.

I asked about this on the movable parts mailing list, and nobody there had heard of this problem, including someone who is successfully using reason and Digital Performer on a 600 MHz iBook. And it's not just reason. I also tried it with a shareware soft sampler called VSamp that I'd been using as a sketch pad while in the tracking phase, same result.

Any ideas?
James
