Pro Tools Le Vs. Pro Tools Hd

Hi,
Since I have not used Pro Tools before and am looking to purchase it I have some questions that I hope someone can answer for me. First what is the most significant difference between Pro Tools HD and Pro Tools LE? Secondly, can one make Broadcast Quality recordings(Recordings that can be put on an album, played on the radio, or placed in films and tv shows.) with Pro Tools LE? If not, is there any recording software comparable to Pro Tools HD that is capable of making Braodcast Quality recordings, but that is a great deal less expensive? Thirdly, is Pro Tools LE compatible with Macs and if so, what device or accessories do I need to purchase to ensure that it is compatible with a Mac? Finally, my ultimate goals for this year are to build a Home Studio and to make or at least begin to make a home recorded album. Since this can't be fully completed until I have moved to a new house, what is the best and most affordable(For $1,000 or a little less) recording software that can begin the process? Many people that I've talked to have told me that a they use multiple recording programs when doing this kind of recording. For instance, they will record initially on Logic and then when they go to mix they will record in Pro Tools. So, which program is the best fit for one who wants to begin recording Master tracks that will eventually be put on album? Is Pro Tools LE sufficient or would Logic Pro be better?

Pro Tools And Logic Pro 8

Hi.
Since I have never used Pro Tools before I have some questions about it. First of all, does anyone know of a reputable website where I can buy the standard Pro Tools program that I have head of which costs approximately $1,000? I ask this because every time that I look up Pro Tools on webistes where it says that I can purchase it the only things that are available to buy are plugins or accessories for it, but never the actual Pro Tools software itself. Secondly, after I buy Pro Tools and since I don't have a full home studio set up yet, is there a mixer or other specific accessories that I should purchase along with it, which might allow me to make some broadcast quality recordings(i.e. recordings that can be played on the radio, put on the internet, placed in films or on televsion shows.). Thirdly, when one purchases Pro Tools is there a comprehensive guide or website devoted to teaching one how to use it?
Finally, has anyone out there used Logic Pro 8? How is it compared to Pro Tools? Is it better or worse? Should one purchase that instead of Pro Tools?
If someone out there could answer my questions I would really appreciate it.

Cubase, Macs And Broadcast Quality Recordings

Hi,
I'm new to this site. Last month I received a wonderful description of how Pro Tools could give me commercially viable broadcast quality recordings, which was very helpful. But, since Pro Tools and its accessories are quite expensive, I was wondering if there was a more affordable alternative that can allow me to record and release the same type of broadcast quality recordings thatt Pro Tools supposedly can. To be clear, when I say that I'm looking to make broadcast quality recrodings what I mean by that are recordings of songs that can be put on an album, played on the radio or the internet, and used in film and tv placements. In fact, being a singer/songwriter my ultimate goal with the next recording program that I purchase, is to make a professional sounding, well-recorded album.
A friend of mine in New York was using Q Base and I was wondering if someone could answer some questions about it for me. First, is Q Base compatable with Macs? Secondly, can one make broadcast quality recordings that can be released on an album, or submitted for film, and TV placements with Q Base? Thirdly, if that is possible what are the best mixers. mics, and other accessories to use with it? Fourthly, if one can make broadcast quality recordings with it, is there a web site that can tell me more about Q Base? Finally, if Q Base is not capable of making the Broadcast Quality recordings that I'm seeking to is there another affordable program(One that costs only a few hundred dollars.) that can make the kind of recordings that I'm seeking to? And that is compatable with Macs?
If someone out there could answer these questions I would really appreciate it. I'm eager to find a new program with which to do this since every time that I' ve submitted music that I've recorded from the Garageband program I have the answer I always get is that the songs are good, but need to be recorded in a better sounding, more professional way.

A Simple Question

Hi,
I'm looking to buy a new recording program that will allow me to make broadcast quality recordings that can be submitted to record companies, managers and considered for film and tv placements rather than the simple demos that I' ve been making for the last few years on GarageBand. The price of Pro Tools and Logic Pro is pretty steep at the moment, so I'm looking for a good alternative to them. So, as a result, I have a few questions. But, before I ask my main question, one question I have is what is the difference between Logic Pro and Pro Tools and which one works better? Secondly, and most importantly what is the difference between Logic Express and Logic Pro? And can one make professional sounding broadcast quality recordings on Logic Express that can be released to the general public? Is there a manual, website, book or anything similar to these that tells someone exactly how to use Logic Express, and also says which mics, mixers, and other accessories are needed in order to use it effectively? And does it describe how to assemble them and set them up in a way that gives the best recording possible? Finally, if Logic Express is not sophisticated enough to make broadcast quality recordings, is there a program for the same price that is?
If someone out there could give me answers to these questions as soon as possible I would appreciate it a lot.
