I recently purchased the Edirol UM-1EX USB MIDI interface to connect my DX7 to my computer, and I have been getting around half a second of lag in the connection. Not only that, but the MIDI input has only been in mono. I have the Greymatter E! extension, which I have heard provides 100% MIDI compatability, and I set priority to background services in the system settings, but that's the extent of what I know to do. I do have a SoundBlaster sound card, which I have heard has some lag issues with MIDI, but since I'm using a USB MIDI interface I figured that wouldn't be a problem. Is there any way to fix the lag and mono issues, or is that just part of MIDI with the DX7?
