I just bought a MacBook Pro (Intel Core 2 Duo) and would like to take my mixing onto the Mac. I don't use fancy software, or decks/consoles, or own any hardware. In fact, almost All my mixes are made using Acoustica Mixcraft or Acoustica MP3 Audio Mixer. I've been browsing through the software and it seems that it is all MIDI based for music creation. I want software that can support at least 50 tracks so I can toss in MP3s and fade them, flange them, etc and then export the final mix into a single MP3 or a series of split MP3s. Is there any software out there that is Universal and can provide what I need? I checked Traktor and some of the other software, and they're either professional mixing software that support 2-4 tracks, or are dedicated to MIDI.
