hi folks, I am using an iMac G4, 700MHz, 384MB RAM, running OS X 10.4.11; I need a simple MIDI keyboard controller to JUST enter note-on, velocity and MIDI channel number information to play synths and samplers running in Reason 2.5. The M-Audio Oxygen controller keyboard seems just right, but: the literature at the M-Audio website says that the minimum requirements include 1GHz processor and 512MB RAM. My question is: are my specs high enough to run the Oxygen where it will be employed just to enter note-on, velocity and channel number info to the devices in Reason? If not, what would be the consequences of using the Oxygen for my purposes (slow response, complete impossibility, etc)? Are the high minimum requirements mostly for running some bundled software or for complex edits of synth parameters and using the real-time MIDI CC messages etc?

Thanks in advance

Hi folks, is there anyone out there that can direct me to where I can obtain a copy of Dr T's amazing sequencer, compositional tool and algorithmic music generator: Dr T KCS Level 2 Version 3 for the Mac?
This app came out around the early-mid 80s on floppy disk and was also for Atari ST and Amiga computers. At the time (before I obtained my first Mac (MacPlus with no hard drive, just two floppy drives!)) I bought an Atari ST just to run this great program. Now my Atari is failing fast and everything else I have musically (straightforward MIDI & audio sequencing: Cubase, etc, and score writing: Sibelius, etc) is on the Mac; and so I'd love to find a copy of the ONLY music composition program for me. Anyone have any ideas? I've been trying for several years (including trying ST emulators; also, Dr T Software has long since gone out of business...).

Hi everyone, just wondered whether anyone can direct me to acquire a copy of that ancient but totally unique piece of software from the days of System 6/7 and floppies (late 1980s), Dr T KCS (Keyboard Controlled Sequencer) Version 3 Level 2; this sequencer was produced for the Mac, Atari ST and Amiga, but the creator has gone bust; it features aspects that make it ideal for composers and those involved in heavy algorithmic processes. I used to have this amazing app on an ancient (now dead) Atari ST, and since all my work is now on the Mac (iMac G4 & a venerable SE30), I am desperately keen to have Dr T KCS running on the Mac in preparation for beginning my next project, an opera.

Thanks in advance

Hi everyone, does anyone know of a good Atari ST emulator for the Mac that can run Atari ST MIDI applications?

TIA

Hi, I wonder whether anyone can direct me to sources of copies of the old but magnificent algorithmic composition software:

Dr T KCS (Keyboard Controlled Sequencer) version 3 Level 2

Dr T is no longer trading and my attempts so far to locate a copy have failed. The program was published in the late 80s and ran on OS6/7/8...

I'd be infinitely obliged if someone could point me to where I can obtain a copy of this unique software.

Best Regards

michael
