I can't figure out why I can't get Reason's Redrum to work via midi. It was working at one point but now when I put the midi symbol on ReDrum in the sequencer window I don't get any sound. Looking at the redrum module the "mute" button lights up when I hit the keys on my Oxyegon 8 but makes no sound. It's getting the midi signal but it's just not triggering the sound. I've got to be overlooking something simple because every other device works great.

Please advise!

Many Thanks!

I've been trying to hook up a keystation 61 to my Tibook.

I downloaded the 10.2 driver, connected the usb, and nothing showed up when it said "scaned midi devices". I then played around using iTunes to open the up the driver. Then all of a sudden a midi interface appeared on my screen. I drew a connection from the keyboard icon (I had created using "add new device" )to interface icon. But then accidently hit "rescan MIDI "and the interface icon dissapeared. I haven't been able to get it back and don't know what I did to get it to appear in the first place. -please help!

thanks,

I logic's stuff that much better to justify the $$$ or do they just force you to buy their expensive VI's by not offering REWIRE!

What are the limitations of Reason?

I've been biding my time looking for the perfect OSX sequencer - (devoted to the Mac, Rewire enabled, project transferable to professional studios, maximum copatibility and felxibility with other software and hard ware). Should I keep waiting or just jump in?

Cubase SX (+) Rewire, flexibility with other software
(-)devoted to mac?, tranferable to professional studio?

Logic (+) devoted to mac, tranferable to professional studio
(-) No Rewire, expensive, Flexibility and compatibility?

DP (my last hope) + devoted to the mac - motu hareware, Rewire?

Protools (same as logic but not devoted to the mac?) Want to know more.

From everything I've read I would like to go with Logic, but I love Reason too much (any work around?) Any speculation or DP? Anyone with PT 6?

Please help!
