Not for the first time -I am baffled by how to install a NI plug in on my imac (Intel 2.00 dual Ghz) -using Logic 8.

I bought the Scarbee MM bass on Sunday as a download. I also had to download the Kontakt Player (I have Konktakt 2 which -as it keep reminding me -will not do the job of playing the Scarbee)

The Kontakt player works ok (it comes with some free -literally -samples)

As for the Scarbee -it's a complete mystery.

It was initially installed as in the "Downloads" section.

Any ideas as to what to do guys?? If you have installed another NI product of late -even if not the Scarbee -any suggestions as to where I should put things would be great -as there is nothing in the documentation that helps. I have contacted technical support -and am waiting for an email that I pray I will comprehend(!)

So -as I say -any help will be a Godsend.

Many thanks

Phil

Hope ppl like this -I tried not to use much compression (hence -turn it up a bit pls lol) -but I did put the whole thing through a free "Massey" A.U plugin -which I suggest any Logic or DP users look into (other Massey Plugins are Pro Tools only -to the best of my knowledge).

Song is called "Funk into nowhere" -on http://www.soundclick.com/djunfitforwork

Feedback welcome

Hello there. First up -the links

http://www.soundclick.com/djunfitforwork

This has 2 versions of a song (sans vocals) "Making it so" -one using the Abbey Road "Mastering" E.Q plugins (which I have on 2 weeks demo )
The second version - using the "URS Channel Strip Pro" -Bus mix 1 setting.

The demo "Agoraphobia Attack" -drums and bass only -drums are "Addictive Drums" - to which I added "mock bleed" (they dont have the bleed function of BFD or Toontrack).

Am using Logic Pro 8 -Focusrite Saffire and imac intel dual core 2ghz (hence cant use U.A.D plugins -grr)

Hope all are well and thanks lepetitmartien and all on the site. Phil xx

I currently use an intel imac 2ghz. Tried to install Powercore compact today -but was a niightmare. I'm pretty sure I followed the correct proceedures. Now -my mac will not even start if the powercore is plugged in. It works fine if it isn't (for now!)

There are only 2 firewire ports on the imac. I now -assuming I can get the powercore to function -have 3 firewire devices -namely the said Powercore - a Focusrite Saffire interface and a Carillion hard drive?

Any suggestions -or have I just wasted £350 and put the life of my imac in jeapordy ??

Many thanks

Any suggestions gratefully received here -I'm fretting big-time over this.

I have a lot of music software installed in my old emac G4 - all legitimately bought by myself and registered -but for which I have lost the serial numbers (totally dumb I know).

I have recently upgraded to an Intel Imac - but have no clue as to how I can use my software on this machine (I fear the old one is creaking to a halt). To add foolishness to injury - and acting on advice from a pc specialist -I optimistically "migrated" all the contents of the G4 onto the Intel . Disaster! Not only does the G4 music software not work - I have also used up 70 of my 150Gb hard drive .

My 2 questions therefore are
1. Are there any means by which I could activate my software on the Intel Imac.?A lot of my software is by Native Instruments -and there method of contact involves putting in the serial numbers to their contact form before any progress can be made.

2. Is there anyway that I can "undo" the migration of the contents from my emacG4 to the intel -and hence free up 70gb of space?

Once again -any feedback gratefully received.

Best wishes -Phil
