I have been using the Tascam US-122 for a few years wth varying degrees of success. The analog interface with the phantom power and the guitar line inputs worked alright, although the level of the guitar input is a little low.... But the Midi keeps shifting keys on me. I assumed it was because I was using a powerbook G3, but when I upgraded my system to a ibook G5 with maxed out memory and 2 gig processor and I am still having problems with midi key variance. I have also switched to Logic from DP and still have the problems. Guess what... Tascam says they have never heard of this problem and suggest it is my midiman keyboard controller. Has anyone had a similar problem or think it makes sense that it is the keyboard?

I have been using a US 122 Tascam for a couple of years and always had problems with the midi changing notes (you play c, you hear b), especially when you get to the third or fourth midi track. I always thought it was my computer, but now with the new iMac 17" 2 gig processor I am having the same problems in a different simple program, Garage Band.

Has anyone out there hear of this problem or have any idea what it could be about?

I have talked to Tascam support about this and they are so in denial about anything ever being wrong with their product, almost as bad as the folks at Final Draft, that they had me running around checking evedrything else.

As a control I switched off the US122 as audio I/O and the problem stopped!

I just got the new iMac 17" and I have loaded on Logic Express and cannot get it to work with my Midi. I use a Midiman controller through a Tascam 122 in thorugh USB. I can get the audio analog part of it to work, but it makes no Midi sound, although it receives the midi message and even records the Midi information, just no midi sound.

Any ideas on this?
