I am currently using Peak in OSX. I need a multi track editor that I can import mp3s into (it does not need to convert them to aiff) and put them in the same track, one after the next. I would prefer if there is a way to automate this.

It will for a podcast, and the mp3s are from a portable mp3 recorder with multiple recordings. I need to edit it, put music on a couple tracks, mix, and encode to an mp3.

I have a MOTU 2408 and I am finally migrating from OS9 to OSX. It appears Soundtack Pro does not support AISO, but Deck does. And what about plug-ins? Anyone have any opinions on this?
