I have had my M-Audio 410 interface for about a year now. Just recently I have been having a problem with what I think is the connection. I will turn everything on and when I play audio...whether it be from my DAW or just iTunes...I get a crackling sound with the audio....If I reset it a couple times that usually fixes it. But I also get this same crackling when I record audio as well.. What is this!!! and is this fixable??!?!?

sorry for this, I'm sure this is probably the 10,000th thread on this topic...but any help would be appreciated.

I'm having a lot of pressure being put on my processor with running DP 4.12. (even hear the processor cranking when the "visualizer" is on with iTunes...???) I will get alert messages, pauses in the I/O process, etc. When adjustments are made to the buffer size (I start at 64 then quickly have to bump up to 128 etc.) I am immediately receiving latency outside of 128. Of course its rather impossible to record via samples and live inst. (no MIDI) with delay. Mono input here....predictably stereo is obviously worse...

M-Audio Firewire 410
DP 4.12

Is the only answer to bump up the RAM?
