Hello. I just purchased a slew of equipment to be able to edit tracks while away from my main tracking studio. Here is the list, and below that, the problem:

single 1.8 G5
256mb RAM (1GB on the way)
80gig (glyph 80gig serial ATA to be installed as a 2nd drive soon)
MOTU 828mkII
AudioDesk

I installed the hardware and software as described, but upon loading AudioDesk for my initial run I encounted the following message:

Mac OS Error (MotuAudioSystem Mas CoreAudio error t, in MasCoreAudioDeviceSet::Star^t [-536870186:1])

where the lower-case "t" is, was a wierd symbol that looked like it was from the International Phoenetic Alphabet. Regardless, I can't seem to remedy this problem. I have tried:

-Rebooting
-Resetting the factory defaults on the 828mkII--- only to get THIS message:

Audio Hardware did not respond. (Motu AudioSystem Mas MasCoreAudioWorkThread.cpp, 108 [57:0])

-deleting AudioDesk and then reinstalling it

Can anyone help? I have a vocal tracking session this weekend and I need to be up and running.

Thanks,
Eric
