hi,
i was wondering whether you could use battery 2 with garageband. is there an option that you can assign different samples to different keys on the keyboard and create loops?
could you use it with logic express? as there is no ultrabeat in express, could you load the samples into the exsp-mkII player and create loops?

thanks a lot in advance,

(p)

my formulations may not be the best, but i'm still a total newcomer and haven't even composed a single song.

hi,
i just read on the apple page that LE 7 requires a seperate audio interface. i've never used such software before so i've no clue what that means. could somebody explain it to me.

thanks,

hi,
i can't decide between live and reason. i'm into hip hop, chill out and elctronica, but i don't know which software is best suited for my needs. any recommendations?
i was also wondering about the compatibility, which file formats are supported?
and which software has the bigger sampler/ loop library?

thanks a lot,

hi,
i'm considering buying live 4, but was wondering about the compatibility. as i don't know how many samples and loops come with the package (does anyone have any idea how many gigs of samples and loop there are in live 4), i was wondering which formats live supports. i read somewhere that is needs to be .aiff or .wav, and then something about VST and Audio Units. i have no clue whether programs like the apple jampacks will be supported or not.

appreciate your help,

(p)

p.s.: would you recommend live 4 or reason 2.5 (i'm into hip hop, chill out and electronica)

hi,
i'm new to the whole digital autio thing an have some questions cause i know basically nothing. in several months i'll be buying an ibook, and i would like to create some music on it. so i have read something about samplers and stuff, but can you use them as standalone products, or do you need programs like garageband, and why? as i am into hip-hop, i took a look at the jampack2 from apple, and i kinda like it, but i read you need garageband to use it. i also took a look at native instrument's battery 2, would i need garageband to use it? i have no clue.
which programs would you recommend for a total beginner?

thanks a lot,
