Hi,

I am new to MIDI on the Mac. although I have some experience on PCs. I have an old PowerBook 180c running MacOS 7.5.1 and want to use it as a MIDI sequencer. I have an Roland MC80 EX with sound module so could drive that from the Mac. What I am not sure of is what MIDI apps I can use and how it all goes together. Initially happy to start off with the Mac playing internal sounds (if it can?).

I have tried downloading various Mac MIDI sequencers through my PC (dont have webaccess with the Mac) They all come down as .HQX files which my Mac doesn't recognise and won't open.

I have generally come to a stop and can't progress any further. Anyone got any help or ideas?

Hope this is the right forum to raise this - I have only joined today so am new to this MacMusic site. Thanks in advance, Steve.
