Hi,
I've spent years manipulating audio with pro-tools and cubase and now I'm finally trying to get into MIDI, and I'm doing so with Logic Express - but it is a nightmare! I have Logic Express with an M-audio Quattro and an Evolution controller keyboard. When I play a note on the keyboard, it will create a note on a sequence on any MIDI track. However, even though I have a bunch of AU synths, including reaktor, they don't seem to appear on any of the drop down menus, plug-in insert lists, nowhere! When I record input from the keyboard to the sequencer, and then play it back, I can see that there is 'Midi output' but it is quite clearly not triggering anything, although I can hear the audio track I have set up. Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong here? I found 'components' folders in the library and system folder of my HD, which I assume is where the AU instruments go, so I made sure that copies of all components were in both folders! Another thing, I can't even find the included logic synths and sampler anywhere! AND I can't make head nor tail of what the 'environment' is all about!! Is it relevant for software instruments?! Arggghhhh!!! Please help me, I must be stupid! Gary

Hi all. Anyone been to www.spongefork.com and checked out this pretty cool sounding piece of kit?
Has anyone used it as a sampler with Logic and if so how does it fare? By the way, find the sleepbot radio station on that site too, it's pretty cool. I have it on all the time now. nice electronic/ambient stuff 24/7. Gary.

Ok, I've looked at the product comparisons but this is a question for anyone who has used both. Can you name the three main benefits of having Logic Pro over Logic Express. (Try not to restrict your answers to midi as lots of us use audio quite a bit too!)
Try to convince me like you're a greasy salesperson.

Hi, hope someone can help me with this - I've just been given some Antares VST plug-ins by a friend but haven't the foggiest idea of how to get them working in Logic Express. That is, I haven't even got them to appear in the drop down menu or anything! Is there a special VST folder I need to use or what?! Sorry, I just have no idea what I'm doing, being new to both the mac and the logic!
Thanks, Gary.

..this is a request for information about crack software.
I've just crossed-over from PC to Mac and want to explore and experiment with different DAW applications and instrument plug-ins. I was using an original PC copy of Cubase SX but have no intention of using on Mac as I've heard some pretty damn terrible things about it's reliability on that platform (though I loved it on PC). So I've bought Logic Express 6 and...well, it's ok. Personally I find it very clunky with audio, so I need to expand the pallete a little. I've got a few cool programs like soundhack and so on, but I want to get into Kontakt and Ableton Live. Do crack versions of these products exist? I don't wanna be messing with commercial demos because to really get a feel for the product I want to be able to have access to all features, use them, actually make a few songs and save them, etc. Then if I really like the product I will invest in a full copy as I either start to feel guilty or want to have the support that full registration involves (upgrades etc.). So can anyone point me in the right direction? |
