Have you all seen this beautiful machine? IT'S a fucking digital mixer/interface thru a FIREWIRE for ProTools OH YEAH! I'm about to throw this MBox in the trash, and I'm wondering if this 002 will be an awesome upgrade. It's pricey, but might be worth it. SOLID Floyd
I 'm running ProTools LE with an MBox on a 466 G4. Sometimes when I'm mixing a session or worse, when in the middle of recording, I get this horrible crackling noise, the song freezes, and I get an error message stating I need to increase my USB Buffer size. I DID THIS, BUT IT DIDN'T HELP! AAAAHHH! It also says for me to delete tracks and/or turn off some effects, but that's absurd! Those actions would be contradictory to the purpose of recording itself, WHat the HELL?!?! It will even do this after I only had TWO tracks running and NO effects at all! I don't get it, and I'm about to throw my MBox through my new 17 inch monitor. UGH! SOLID Floyd
I don't know if folks know, but...Propellerhead released the 2.0 upgrade to reason, and check out what this guy has to say on the reason board-
I am announcing the imminent release of reFuse, a package for the Macintosh to provide audio streaming and transport linking between Reason and Pro Tools.
Here's the deal:
--------------- reFuse
What It Is:
reFuse is a utility application to bridge Pro Tools and Reason.
Features:
* Work in realtime with Reason and Pro Tools - no more bouncing Reason files to disk. * No extra hardware needed. * Run up to sixteen channels of audio from Reason to Pro Tools. * Two-way linking of transport controls.
reFuse runs on Macintosh OS 8.1 and later. OS X and Windows are not yet supported.
Release Date:
July 10th, 2002

Does anyone have suggestions for good bargains for a live instrument interface and a good, simple midi interface that is supported by reason, OR hardware that may be worth checking out that takes into account both live and MIDI inpouts at once for a G4 running Protools Free and Reason? Appreciate any help! @prime
I'm running Reason 1.0 and just installed Protools FREE 5.0.1 on my G4. Is anyone familiar here as to the chances of me outputting the tracks I create in Reason to plug into Protools? My ultimate goal is to run live instruments into Protools in order to mix and record them alongside the reason tracks. Would it just be easier to lay in the finished individual tracks from reason as an MP3 into a Protools track, or is it possible to chain them up?
