Hey All,

I am quite new to audio capture on os 10, and am confused with how to sync motu 896. My intention is to use 8 microphones as inputs to 896, and do some source localization calculations using data on os 10.

Basically, I need the audio coming into computer to be synchronized. For this, I thought I can use pci-424 as a clock source for 896. Is this possible? Or do I have to use a digital timepiece. Motu 896 manual talks about using ADATs and digital timepiece to sync everything. Since I do not need ADATs, I could use a timepiece alone. But, that option is more expensive than using a pci-424.

Even if pci-424 can be used, where can I buy it. Motu doesn't seem to sell it on its site. This card seems to be only available with other bigger units like 24I/O.

Appreciate any help,
Thanks,

Ravi
