I will be using a DVI TiBook 667mhz for simple voiceovers and perhaps some singing; probably not going over 4 tracks at most. I read on some discussion board of someone routinely using the stock internal HD (4200-rpm) without a problem for just a few tracks.
So, would the slightly higher RPMs AND extra space be worth another $300 in this case?
I know ideally you shouldn't use the boot/system disk as a scratch disk, and that 7200 rpm is recommended, but I've heard from a few experienced folks that for real-world use, it wouldn't be tragic for my purposes, and this is an immediate purchasing decision.
(Please stick with the 667 model in this instance)
Thanks.
