HHHEEEEELLLPPPPP.............
Iv just bought a midiman 2x2 usb interface for my g4/400. Iv installed the drivers and plugged in the interface. The system profiler recognises the unit and also the driver, plus the power light starts to throb. But.............. when trying to set up cubase (4.1) the midi setup menu dose not give me an option to choose the usb, it still only reads Printer, Modem. Am i doing something wrong or do i ned to install something elce.
Any advice, sound or a longshot would be appreciated as i am without my music for the time being.......... noooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ben

You lot helped out with my instalation problem so maybe you can help with this slightly simpler one.
When testing out my new cubase 4.1 I thought that I try out the audio editing window. I opened up a vst audio block so that I was viewing the wave form in the Audio Editor window and tryed to move the song position (play bar or whatever you like to call it). When I clicked on the ruler at the top of the window, insted of the song position snaping to where I had clicked I decided to appear about a bar away. I continued to click along the ruler and the song position did the same thing every time, it was inpossible to get it were I wanted. The same sort of thing was happening to the cut tool. If I tried to cut the wave in half say at point 60. the cut would be made at 68 or 51 and so on. Also if selected undo and then cut the wave in the same point I would be cut elce were. I decide that if I could not cut were I wanted then I could just put in a cut anywere and drag the start/end of the audio segment to the required length. NO SUCH LUCK. Even that was going all over the place and parts of the wave kept dissapearing (they would still play but with no vissual wave), fiddling around with the window would bring them back.
I pressumed that it would be a snap problem so I experimented with all the snap settings including off, all to no avail.
I am starting to loose faith in this new (improved?) version of cubase. At least my old copy WORKED!!!!!!!!!!!
Anyone got any good ideas.........

can anybody help me. I run a grey G-3,OS9,4gig hardrive,352mb ram and have recently installed Cubase vst 4.1. When I open up a track containg vst audio recordings and press play all is fine and the audio starts to output. However when I stop or interupt it for the first time after playing the vst seems to shut down. The speaker nolonger out puts any sound (including the click track) and the audio channel mixer shows no signals when play is resumed. The audio pool dose not let me monitor each segment either. The only way I can get it to work is to quit and re-open cubase but as soon as I stop the track it shuts the sound off again.
Any ideas anyone?????????
