I intend to take my powerbook set up to Thailand for a month and do some recording. I will need some portable/light monitors. Any suggestions?

I am still pondering the question -ibook or powerbook. I would like the 1.5 powerbook, but I will still need to buy M box, keyboard and hardrive. Would the 1.2 ibook with full Ram be enough for my needs. I will want to run everything from the laptop - recording, synths/samplers/sequencer. and later on i would like to make movies.

I looked at the M box compatability info on the digidesign site, and found nothing about the new powerbook 1.5. Does anybody know if the new powerbooks have been tested with M box?
I assume that as they are just more powerful, that everything should work fine...Any thoughts? Cheers

Can anyone give me opinions on the 12" powerbook screens -
Does the size cause any problems with viewing sequencing software such as pro tools? I would like a 12" because of it's portabilty and relative cost. Would I be better getting a 14" ibook -or even waiting and saving more for a 15" powerbook. Opinions please. Thanks |
